Set in a child-friendly complex with tropical gardens and a pool, this penthouse not only offers abundant space for a group of 8 but also a wonderful beachfront location surrounded by amenities. Enjoy sunny days in your own private pool.
This 250 m2 penthouse is ideal for a big family, couples or friends. The location is first class with just a minute walk to the sunny beach of San Pedro. The bustling harbour of Puerto Banus with its world-class restaurants is just a 30 minute stroll away along the beach.
On the entrance level, the apartment has a large reformed kitchen (2019) and a living room for the whole family. The kitchen is equipped with a traditional filter coffee machine and pods coffee machine. Between these two rooms there is a fantastic terrace with a covered corner table and lounge area, overlooking the pool and gardens. The master bedroom (king size bed) and bathroom is on the lower floor. It has it’s own private terrace looking towards the pool and garden. Between the lower floor and the entrance level there is a split level with two bedrooms: one with two queen sized beds and one with two singles. In addition to this, there is a separate studio with it's own entrance (half a floor lower than the master bedroom) with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom.
On the roof terrace you have a full summer kitchen with barbecue, dishwasher and fridge - perfect for outdoor gatherings. There is also a welcoming private pool for hot summer days, comfortable sofa lounge area and a covered dining area. The penthouse has two other terraces, one of them covered if you're looking for some shade. From the 140 sq meters roof terrace you have great views of the Ronda Mountains, Sierra Blanca with La Concha and the rooftops of San Pedro.
The penthouse is fully equipped with Wi-Fi (fiber 100 MB), air conditioning, satellite and IPTV. In the urbanisation there is a large pool area with a beautiful tropical garden.
A great place to spend the vacation or some time away from home with plenty of activities including city sightseeing, hiking, golf and water-sports.
The property is located in a no party urbanisation. There is to be no late night noise nor any anti-social / disruptive behaviour.
The apartment is located on the second floor. There is no elevator available.

San Pedro Alcantara is a coastal town wedged between Marbella and Estepona and, despite its proximity to glamorous Marbella, has managed to remain unspoilt. Very traditional and laidback, it attracts the type of visitor looking for a more low-key holiday.
Although San Pedro is small, it is a vibrant town abuzz with restaurants, bars, bakery cafes and ice cream parlours. The food scene is both local and international, with Irish pubs, Asian restaurants, Dutch bars all next to traditional Spanish bars and restaurants. There are a couple of well-priced supermarkets (Mercadona, Maskom, Carrefour and Día), a 24-hour pharmacy and boutiques. Thursday is street market day, a true bargain hunter’s paradise. The Boulevard is fast becoming the heart of San Pedro and a favourite with children with a total of six playgrounds and a skateboard area. Adults can sit around nearby, or go to one of the bar/restaurants for a drink, a snack or a meal.
Nueva Alcantara is the new part of town with wide tree-lined avenues leading down to the beach. On the waterfront, the 2 km sweeping tiled promenade serves as an open-air gym with exercise machines and is always bustling with joggers, strollers and dog walkers. It is dotted with chiringuitos all the way along, most of them offering Mediterranean cuisine and, of course, the ubiquitous thirst-quenching tinto de verano. The promenade also links up to Puerto Banus and it is possible to walk all the way to Marbella along the sea front.
Don't expect any wild nightlife. A night out typically consists of a meal and a few drinks at a local bar - although there are a couple of salsa clubs- or a moonlight stroll along the beach promenade. If you're looking for a big party night, Marbella and Puerto Banús are a short drive away.
For sporting activities, there are many options. Very close by is the Nueva Alcantara Club with 16 padel courts and the I/O gym. The adjacent residential area of Guadalmina is also known for its well kept golf courses. If you just want to hit a few balls try the Guadalmina public driving range (Located close to the Barceló Hotel). For a bit more action for the kids, the Cable Ski Marbella, next to the driving range, offers wakeboard, kneeboard, and water-ski lessons. The road to Ronda starts at San Pedro so experienced cyclists can enjoy a challenging but beautiful ride.

Stayed here in October 2024 with my wife and 2 children (6 years old and 2 years old) and parents (70 years old). The accommodation on offer is superb and we had a wonderful time. It has been extremely well looked after, with high-quality furnishings and equipment. Well-stocked kitchen and having washer/dryer was ideal so that minimal washing was required when returning home. The communal pool area is excellent in addition to the rooftop plunge pool, which is also nice. The spacious apartment is well suited to large families or even multiple families as there is enough space to relax on your own or socialise in the many communal areas. Location in San Pedro is ideal.

(1) Updated contact details for electrician are required. The number provided for the electrician rang out. There was water damage to the roof terrace electrical supply after heavy storms. Unfortunately we only found this out 2 dsee more

(1) Updated contact details for electrician are required. The number provided for the electrician rang out. There was water damage to the roof terrace electrical supply after heavy storms. Unfortunately we only found this out 2 days later whilst in the middle of a BBQ. As the sun went down, we tried to put the lights on and nothing worked. The next day, we tried the electrician number to no avail and, when contacting the host's representative, the pool maintenance technician was sent but he had no competence to fix the issue. We were then told to take an extension cord to the terrace and use a lamp, which isn't suitable with young children around so unfortunately the terrace was simply not usable for the 4 dry nights we had. (2) It needs to be more explicitly advertised that the 4th bedroom is actually external to the main property (you have to exit the front door and the 4th bedroom is standalone studio with its own front door, although it is lovely) so it is only suitable for adults. We didn't used it for this reason and the kids shared a room. Not necessarily a negative, it just didn't suit us so might not suit others, whereas some may see this as a positive aspect. |

As it was the San Pedro feria most companies were working half days which is why the number rang out as no-one was in the office. However in all our pre-arrival information and on arrival we do specify that any issues with the property you contact us direct. Most of our clients have 2 mobile numbers plus our email to get in touch. We did send a handyman over within 24 hours of you contacting us with instructions from a qualified electrician on how to solve the most likely issues. The issue has been resolved now. We have modified the description so it is clearer that the studio apartment is not connected internally to the main apartment. We are glad that you did enjoy your stay and we look forward to hearing from you again soon.

We were a party of 6 of varying ages. What a wonderful penthouse. It really offers a social holiday. We spent most of the time at the roof terrace, it is literally that good.

Lots of space! I really enjoyed the outdoor areas, the balcony outside the bedroom after a run in the morning, the balcony on the main floor had sun in the afternoon, and the roof terrace was amazing for working outside during the day. I did quite a see more

We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in the four bedroom apartment in Castiglione. Excellent location right beside the beach with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment itself had plenty of space for 8 adults but the outsee more
We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in the four bedroom apartment in Castiglione. Excellent location right beside the beach with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment itself had plenty of space for 8 adults but the outside areas were where we spent most of our time. The roof terrace has a comfy lounge area, gorgeous dining table, sun loungers and small swimming pool which was ideal for cooling off on the hot days. This was where we would watch spectacular sunrises and sunsets and were even lucky enough to see several shooting stars one night. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and although we experienced a couple of minor plumbing issues, they were very quickly dealt with by Colleen and Thomas and their professional team. San Pedro itself is a fantastic town and a great base if you want to see a bit more of the Costa del Sol. I would highly recommend booking through Take a Break Rentals. A fantastic holiday - thank you!

You we had a very nice stay! This penthouse is practical and had everything we needed. Small private pool was a nice extra. Location is great, beach and promenade only 5min on foot.
